01.18.12 – Mailed application to AGCI
01.23.12 – AGCI called us to let us know our application was approved!!
01.24.12 – Started telling family about our plans to adopt.
01.30.12 – Orientation call w/ AGCI. Faxed application to GA agency for homestudy.
02.04.12 – Homestudy orientation visit (first of 4 visits)
02.13.12 - Brittney’s home study visit – went great!
02.28.12 - mailed contracts and first payment to AGCI.
03.02.12 – Received email from AGCI congratulating us on officially being an adoptive family in their Ethiopia program! Adoption planner should arrive within a few business days. Scheduled orientation call for 03/13/12.
03.03.12 - Jonathan’s home study visit – went great!
03.13.12 – Orientation phone call w/ Soojin at AGCI to discuss dossier.
03.18.12 – Final home study visit at our house – also went great!
04.27.12 – Received final copies of home study report in the mail.
04.28.12 – Date night at Desta where we tried Ethiopian food for the first time. Love!
05.01.12 – Mailed 1600A form off.
05.16.12 – Received USCIS fingerprint appointment letters in the mail. June 5th is the big day!
05.20.12 – Shared adoption story at The Fountain UMC as part of the “Adopted” series!
06.05.12 – USCIS fingerprint appointments. Mailed dossier!!!
06.13.12 – Received call from AGCI. We are officially on the wait list! BOY – 123 GIRL – 144
